H e believed the Jews need to do more to abandon their religion and blend in, in a book called "T he O rigin of the anti-Se mi tic A ttitude." For former generatio ns this, by and large was the attitude by Jews and gentiles alike. Blend it. Do not stand out. Do not speak too loudly. Unfortunately this left a generation ignorant of their heritage.
