Isn't it Wonderful?

A famous teacher was invited by a prince to go lion hunting.  When he returned, he was aces how the hunt had gone.  "Marvelous!"  And how many lions did they find?  "None - that is why is was so marvelous."  - Robert Fulgham Isn't is wonderful what does not happen?

Our Wake

There was a famous French criminologist, Emile Locard.   In 1940 he came up with Locard’s Exchange Principle.   “It says something to the effect that any person passing through a room will unknowingly deposit something there and take something away.”   - Robert Fulghum   There is no such thing as leaving no wake.  Everything we think, do, say or touch makes an impact on the universe.

What Good is our Creativity?

June 4, 1883 in Annonay – near Paris – a balloon thirty-three feet in diameter was fed by a smoking bonfire of wet stew and old rags. The machine de aerostat was cut and rose 6,000 feet.   When it landed the baloom was attacked by pitchfork waving peasants and torn to pieces as an instrument of evil. Benjamin Franklin, a witness, was asked what possible good could come out of such an invention. “Eh, a quoi bon enfant qui vient de naitre?”   (“What good is a newborn infant?”) ~f rom Robert Fulghum Who was right? After all, planes soon dropped bombs from these flying machines.

The Path of No Friction

The wagon driver said to his passengers when they came to a long, steep hill, "Them that's going on with us, get out and push.  Then that ain't, get out of the way."  - Robert Fulghum If this simple axiom were adopted by us all it would work.
