The Hafetz Hayim said, “He who suffers and yet maintains his courage is more to be praised than a complaining person. It is analogous to a man who is arrested and put in chains. If he remains calm, the chains hurt a little. If he struggles and seeks escape they cut into his flesh and the pain increases.”
