Imitation

“The noise that a child makes on the street is as his father or mother.”   -Sukkah 56b C hildren repeat what they hear.   This is how they learn.   That is why when children talk they are mimicking only what they have heard at home.   In much the same way, as adults we are still reflection what we heard years before. “Who is that person in the mirror that looks like my mother?” “Oh.   It is only me.”

To show a child what once delighted you, to find the child’s delight added to your own – this is happiness.”    -J.B. Priestly A parent's delight is to watch the child take her first steps, then learn how to move gracefully, stand independently.  Yet, perhaps the greatest joy of “ all is when the child  decides to be be just like you.
