Did You Wait?

In the Celestial Court each person will be asked, "Did you wait and anticipate the Redemption?"  -Talmud, Shabbat 31

We are taught in our tradition to be hopeful and wait for the Messiah.

The Hafetz Hayim had the custom of greeting people who recently came to Radin, his town, "Have you heard any news of the Messiah? "  He even kept his kapota (his special Shabbat cloak) close by in case he needed it quickly to greet him.  -Wolff, Der Chofetz Chayim
