Listen

There is the story of a want ad to become a telegraph operator. A man came along. He cited that he had no experience but had knowledge of Morse code. Dejected, when he saw how many other people sitting there in the office waiting to be interviewed he simply sat down in a chair to wait. After a few minutes his face brightened and he ran into the manager’s office.
A few minutes later the manager emerged from hos office to tell the waiting applicants that the job had been filled.
“Why did he get the job?” they all asked.
“All morning long,” said the manager, “I have been tapping a message on my office window loud enough for everyone to hear. The message said: ‘If you understand this message you are hired.’ He was the only one who listened.”

This is the way it is with God.
Listen.

Of course, now in the 21 st century we must ask: are we better or worse for it?
