Uncomfortable Reality

The late Rabbi I. Beneschofsky (Hungary) used carry his name and address on a slip of paper in his pocket during the 1920's.  In case anti-Semites students should beat him unconscious, the ambulance would know where to take him.

Given what we read about Europe and the rise of anti-Semitism here it should come as no great shock.
