Agatha Christie’s second husband was archaeologist Lord Mallowan. When asked what it was like to be married to an archaeologist, she replied, “It’s wonderful. The older I get the more interested he is in me.”

Throughout our history it has been a priority. Of course, now in the 21 st century we must ask: are we better or worse for it?
