John D. Rockefeller asked Harry Emerson Fosdick to become the minister in his church.  Dr. Fosdick, a pugnacious sort, asked Rockefeller, “How can you expect me to accept this as being known as Rockefeller’s pastor?
And Rockefeller replied; “Do you think I am going to ne happy known as Fosdick’s parishioner?”
