Not Tending our Own Wounds

A Jewish Soviet diplomat delivered a vitriolic condemnation of Israel to UN.  He was later accosted by Israel delegation, “How can you spew Soviet anti-Zionist propaganda? You’re a Jew.  Don’t you have an opinion of your own?”
“Of course I have an opinion,” the Soviet diplomat responded.   “But I don’t agree with it.”

Who can we rely on, if not our own family?  They are the folks that take us in when we need to be cared for.  It is odd how some fail to realize this eternal truth.
