Pain has a purpose.
It is a teacher, an instructor.
But pain does not demand attention.
We have to look and learn.
Dostoevsky once said, “There is only one thing that I dread:
Not to be worthy of my sufferings.”

Throughout our history it has been a priority. Of course, now in the 21 st century we must ask: are we better or worse for it?
