On One Hand

They say when Harry Truman was the president of the United States he was beset by advisers in every area who always covered themselves -- on the one hand this, on the other hand that...  Finally, in desperation, Truman cried out; 'Aren't there any one-armed economic advisers?'

It is considered an attribute to look at al sides of an issue before making a decision.  Yet, once you have all the available information, make the decision and move on.
