J'accuse

Two men are traveling in a coach.  One of them suddenly realizes that his wallet is missing and he suspects his traveling companion.  Soon afterward, however, he found the missing wallet in a pocket from another suit.
"I beg your pardon.  I made an error in suspecting you," he said.
"We both did," responded his neighbor. "You thought I was a thief and I thought you were a gentleman."
