Love Tested

At the estate of the distinguished Doubleday editor, a small head appeared over the fence-and in a big meek voice asked;
”Please, Mr. Beecroft, could I have my arrow back?”
”Certainly my boy,” he said with the spontaneous love that made him famous. “Where is it?”
