A Hasidic sage directs us to one of the passages on holy space in Torah (Exodus 25:8), and advises to read it carefully. “Build a sanctuary for Me, that I shall dwell ‘in them’ and not, as we would expect ‘in it’? The Torah parses it this way, the sage explains, so that we understand that “the purpose of the tabernacle is ‘that I shall dwell in them,” which is to say, amidst the leaders, who are the Temple of the Lord….

Holiness is found in people.
