A Nazirite is a person who became an ascetic.  Yet, the Torah tells us that if a Nazarite sinned....
Rabbi Eleazar HaKappar said in the name of Rebbe: "Against what soul did the Nazarite sin (since he was an ascetic)?
It can only mean that he denied himself enjoyment from drinking wine.  Now, if a person denies himself only the enjoyment from drinking wine is a sinner, how much moreso one who denies himself the many enjoyments of life?" -Taanit 11a
