Meditation Before Yizkor

In a moment the mourners will stand to reaffirm their belief in God in the shade of their beloved who are no longer with them.  Then, not long afterward, the Musaf service will have ended.  And it is over.  Like all things, this too will end.
Before proceeding it is prudent to pause in soft silence to let our thoughts settle.  Some will remember while other will be looking ahead.  Some have regrets, others hold resolve.  All of us mourn.
